Residents love Forrest Lake because it’s unique in many ways but perhaps the best thing about Forrest Lake is that the property is 100% self managed… what does that mean? For starters... management and maintenance is not sourced out to any management company but instead run by the board, all of which are unpaid and elected by homeowners.
The board (all elected by homeowners) also has programs in place to ensure that money is available when necessary. For example, it’s roof and other contingency funds. Last summer the pool had to be resurfaced and many of the roads repaired but thanks to the boards careful planning the necessary funds were available without having to go out and get an expensive loan or to charge homeowners an assessment. In fact, Forrest Lake has never had to charge assessments in its entire history.
